This is not the place for your LinkedIn professional headshot; opt for a photo that shows some aspect of your personality — maybe at a concert, out on a hike, or whatever it is you like to do.

There’s a fine line in online dating between not giving someone a chance and giving them too many chances. You shouldn’t dismiss someone after one message, but you should know pretty quickly whether or not someone is going to be a good match based on your initial conversations.
